Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by the campaign owner and explains what personal data the Cymru PowerShot Challenge collects and why. Last updated July 2026.

Who is responsible for your data

The Cymru PowerShot Challenge is operated by PowerShot Global as the data controller for entries, accounts and prize administration. Campaign partners receive only aggregated, non-identifying reporting unless you separately opt in to partner marketing.

What we collect

  • First name and email address, so we can create your account and confirm entries.
  • Date of birth, used only to confirm you are 18 or over.
  • Your competition preference and each weekly prediction you submit.
  • Points, leaderboard position and prize-draw entries generated by the scoring system.
  • Your marketing preference, recorded separately from your account.

Why we use it

We process entry data to run the competition you have asked to take part in, to score predictions, to publish leaderboards using first name only, and to administer prize draws. Entry confirmation emails are service messages and are always sent. Marketing email is sent only where you have given separate, optional consent, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with service providers who host the campaign and deliver its email, and with prize fulfilment providers where you have won. Campaign partners do not receive your contact details unless you opt in to hear from them.

Retention and deletion

Entry and scoring data is retained for the duration of the campaign and for six months afterwards to resolve prize queries, then deleted. Marketing contacts are retained until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies

The campaign site stores your language choice and your in-progress predictions in your browser so the experience works across visits. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

The Scoring System

Maximum season score: 100 pts men's + 100 pts women's = 200 pts combined.
